Our Vision

for Youth Ministry

Church of the Resurrection's youth ministry is focused on helping youth develop a lasting relationship with Jesus. We pursue this through relational ministry with each of our students and setting aside time to study scripture, pray, and fellowship.

Get Involved

Youth Gatherings

Join us following the Sunday service from 11:15-12pm for our youth gatherings on the 2nd and 4th Sundays or each month! We’ll catch up on how our week, hear a lesson or devotion from one of our leaders, and pray together.

Monthly Youth Events

Throughout the year, we plan monthly or bi-monthly youth events that are engaging for students and a time to hang out outside of Sundays. Some of our past events include a trip to the zoo, Starbucks hangouts, ice cream runs, movie nights, and our annual youth Christmas party.

Youth Leaders

Nate Scott

Nate Scott is a student at Covenant Seminary, and has been attending at CoR since 2023. Nate loves being able to share the beauty of the gospel and the worth of a life following Christ with young adults as they decide who they are going to be. He enjoys cooking, and spending time with his wife, Betsy, and his cats, Babar and Bishkek.
Melissa Lockett

Melissa moved to St. Louis and began attending CoR in 2023, after completing her Bachelors in Biblical & Theological Studies at Biola University. A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Melissa is passionate about discipling the next generation. She enjoys baking bread, running her local photography business, hiking, cats, traveling in her free time.
Sarah Murphy

Sarah moved to St. Louis in August 2024 to attend Covenant Theological Seminary to begin a Master's in Counseling. Shortly after arriving in St. Louis, Sarah began attending Church of the Resurrection. Before moving to St. Louis, Sarah graduated from Covenant College in 2023 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. While at Covenant College, she was a youth group leader at New City East Lake in Chattanooga, TN. She is excited to, once again, serve her church as a youth group leader! She is native to Winchester, VA, and enjoys cats and dogs, time with friends, playing guitar, and making art.
